SAF, an Art Destination for those who love art and like to get off the beaten track. Founded in 2008, the Sanat Art Foundation of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh is a home to one of India's great Art collections cum Art Residency. Tucked in the tranquil and serene surroundings of pine and cedar trees with a panoramic view of Chedwick Fall.
SAF also boasts of a rare painting and belongings of Rabindranath Tagore which has been the real inspiration behind setting up of this Art Gallery. The Gallery is also a proud possessor of a few prized paintings of many prominent artists including disciples of the Bengal School of Arts.
SAF also houses a comprehensive collection of works of Sanat Chatterjee including his longest paintings on silk and paper recorded in Guinness Book World Records and great terracotta sculptures.
